New print techniques
I have been doing a lot of up-skill workshops which I am loving. So many different approaches, effects and results with all the processes. One of my favourites has to be sugar lift, where you screen print your image onto the metal plate, cover it in bitchumen, allow to dry and the pour boiling water over the plate. Where the sugar was just disappears and your image is revealed and ready to be bitten in the acid. I have also learned how to do photo riston which is so much easier than I had thought, in a nutshell it's a photosensitive film that you attach to the metal plate and expose your image onto the plate in an exposure unit. There is a bit more to it than that but thats the jist of it, no need for acids or anything and beautiful photographic results. Will put images up soon!
